What does the Orthodox Union Kosher Certification mean?

The Orthodox Union (OU) Kosher Certification for Pure Maple Syrup guarantees that no non-kosher products have been used in the production of this maple syrup and that the processing and packaging of maple syrup are subject to strict cleaning procedures.

Only certified kosher products are allowed in a strict Jewish diet. Other religions are also looking for kosher symbols for foods processed using high quality sanitary procedural guidelines.

CAMP is certified by the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America. The Union is based at 333 Seventh Ave., New York, N. Y. 1001, fax 1 212 564 9058. The CAMP plant and producers are supervised by rabbis based in Montreal.

The OU is the strictest kosher certification organization in North America.
